During an episode of the “Winging It” podcast, Vince Carter announced that he wants to play a 22nd season in the NBA next year. The 1998 Rookie of the Year and career 8 time All-Star is a free agent though, so he will have to sign a new deal in order to continue playing in the NBA. Carter said that he would like to return to the Hawks next year, but added, “we’ll see what happens”. Carter has never signed with a super team in order to win his first ring, so I would think that is unlikely to change now, but who knows where he will end up with for the 2019-2020 season.
Vince Carter is in my opinion, the best in-game dunker in NBA history, so even though he is a shell of what he used to be in the NBA, it will be sad to see him retire from the league. That’s okay though, because Carter has given us some of the best highlights of all-time throughout his career.
